What should I bring to my first session?
Court shoes and water. That is it. We lend racquets and pickleball paddles at the desk, and the indoor courts are climate controlled year-round, so nothing about the weather changes your plans. If you are booked for a lesson rather than a clinic, get there a few minutes early so the pro can watch you warm up.
I do not have a partner. Is that a problem?
No, and almost nobody arrives with one. Drop-in clinics are organised by a coach who pairs everyone up on the day, and league teams are built the same way, only with a season attached. The one thing that genuinely needs a partner is a court you have reserved yourself.
I have never played. Where do I start?
Adult Beginner, Monday evenings 7:00 to 8:00 with Coach Andrew. Total beginners are welcome, no sign-up, no partner and no racquet needed. One hour is the whole commitment, and it is open to non-members.
Do I need to be a member to take a lesson or a clinic?
No. Clinics and private lessons are open to non-members, with a $10 guest fee. Membership is what lets you book a court yourself.
What level am I?
The numbers on the schedule are NTRP ratings. 2.5 means you can keep a gentle rally going, 3.0 to 3.5 is consistent on medium-paced shots and starting to place them, and 4.0 to 4.5 is dependable under pressure with real depth and spin. Guess low and turn up — a coach will move you within a session or two.
How much is membership?
From $20 a month. Single is $38, Couple $49 and Family $56, with Junior (under 18), Senior (55 and over) and Fitness-only all at $20. Paying for the year up front is $415 single, $540 couple, $630 family and $215 junior or senior, and it removes the initiation fee.
What is the initiation fee?
It applies to monthly payers only: $75 for single, junior and senior, $125 for couple and $200 for family. Pay for the year up front and there is no initiation fee at all.
Is there a contract, and how do I cancel?
Memberships run a twelve-month term on EFT and auto-renew unless you cancel in writing 30 days before the renewal date. Court passes, clinics and lessons carry no contract at all — you pay for what you use.
Can I join online?
Yes. The online application takes about three minutes, and the front desk calls you within one business day to set up payment. Nothing is charged at the time you apply. There is a printable paper agreement too if you prefer.
What does a membership actually include?
Court booking privileges, the weight and cardio rooms, the outdoor pool in season, and member clinic rates. Family memberships add junior program member pricing, junior walk-on courts at $24 an hour, and family social events.
How many courts are there?
Eight indoor hard courts and five outdoor, plus six indoor pickleball courts. All eight indoor tennis courts are PlaySight SmartCourts.
What does a court cost?
Between $26 and $40 an hour indoors depending on the slot, $22 outdoors in season, and $24 an hour for junior walk-on booked an hour ahead or less. The full table is on the court rates page.
How do I book?
Members book online through Club Automation or at the front desk. If you are not a member, join a clinic, book a lesson, or come as a member’s guest for $10.
What is PlaySight?
Every indoor court records and live-streams automatically, at no extra cost and with nothing to switch on. Family anywhere can watch your match live, and you can review the rally you just lost between games. Season data covers shot speed, fitness and match statistics.
What age can my child start?
Little Tennis takes children from age 3. It is built around hand-eye coordination, balance and the shape of the game, taught almost entirely through play on short courts with low-compression balls.
How do I know which tier my child belongs in?
Book the free fifteen-minute evaluation. A pro hits with your child, and you leave knowing the tier and the cost, with no obligation attached.
Do you run junior summer camps?
Yes. Future Grand Slammers runs through the summer for ages 3 to 11, alongside the regular five-tier program.
Do we need to buy a racquet?
No. We supply age-appropriate racquets and the right balls at every junior tier. Please do not buy a full-size adult racquet for a young child — it is too heavy to swing properly.
Are there groups specifically for women and for seniors?
Several. A 2.5 women’s clinic runs Tuesday mornings, closed women’s groups run from 2.5 through 4.5 most days, and there are 3.0 women’s doubles teams on Tuesday and Thursday. Coed Senior Doubles plays Monday and Friday mornings, and membership for anyone 55 and over is $20 a month, or $215 for the year.
How do I get on a USTA team?
Speak to Brennan Acres, who runs adult tennis here and places every new player himself. Teams run women’s 3.0 to 4.5, men’s 3.0 to 4.0, coed and combo, plus 40+ and 18+ divisions.
When is pickleball open play?
Several times a week, on six indoor courts. The times shift around the tennis schedule, so it is worth a quick call before you drive over. Paddles are lent at the desk.
What is in the fitness center?
Separate weight and cardio rooms totalling 2,800 square feet, plus an outdoor pool in season. Both rooms are included with every membership, or $20 a month on a fitness-only membership.
Where are you and is parking free?
3020 West Tech Road, Miamisburg, OH 45342 — off I-75 just south of Austin Landing on 741, about ten minutes from Centerville or Springboro and twenty from downtown Dayton. Parking out front is free.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 10:00pm, Friday 7:00am to 9:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday 8:00am to 6:00pm. Weekend hours extend for late USTA matches.
Can I look round before I commit to anything?
Yes, and no appointment is needed. Turn up and whoever is on the desk will walk you round the building without turning it into a sales pitch.
